10 Stock market predictions for 2010

  1. 2010 Will be a pretty good year for the stock market, but it won’t be anything spectacular. I see the stock market returning anywhere between 10 and 20 percent on the year.
  2. Inflation will be slow to come as will improvement in the unemployment rate.
  3. #2 will cause Gold’s bubble to “Pop”. Gold should dip down below 1,000 an ounce by the end of 2010.
  4. Crude oil rises to around 100 dollars a barrel by the end of 2010.
  5. The stock market volatility index stays relatively low in 2010. There won’t be too many +300 point and -300 point days for the Dow in 2010. Investors everywhere will rejoice at being let off of the stock market roller coaster.
  6. Natural gas prices rise noticeably. Much more then the price of Crude oil will.
  7. Small cap stocks and value companies will outperform the rest of the field as a whole.
  8. Bank failures will be down and may come to a halt by Q3 of 2010.
  9. The financial industry will have a mini comeback.
  10. Facebook will IPO!

Remember that these predictions for 2010 are purely speculative. I’m sure very few of them will actually come to fruition.
