German stock market
German stocks are trading at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the primary German stock index is the DAX. The Frankfurt Stock Exchange has been in business since the late 16th century, making it one of the oldest stock market exchanges.
Germany might not be the first place you think of when you think of an epicenter of commerce and trade but the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is the 3rd biggest stock exchange in the world, which makes it pretty import.
Germany is not as important to the United States financially as other places. Asia is huge because of all the citizens they have and everything that we import from Japan and China. Also because Japan and China owns much of our 12-13 trillion national debt that we have wrung up. Other European countries are important, like England and the United Kingdom. Germany might be one of the most important countries financially in Europe.
The fact is that things are changing as far as the global economy goes. Power is shifting from Europe over to Asia. It has been bound to happen for a while when you consider that China and India have well over two billion people combined and Japan has always been strong financially.
