Stock market under Obama
I’m writing this at the end of 2009, meaning Obama has been in office for less than a year. However that is still long enough to be able to make conclusions about how the stock market has acted towards him.
Overall the stock market has rebounded nicely over the past year, however I do not think that Obama is the reason. The economy, therefore the stock market goes up and down in cycles, we are coming out of a low cycle and we are slowly moving up. Bush, Obama, and everyone else have little to do with this. However Obama’s stimulus plan definitely helped the economy.
The stock market would have definitely elected McCain if they had a vote. The Dow took a huge hit once that Obama was indeed our next president. However we have to deal with the cards that we are dealt. We might be looking at socialized health care and higher taxes but whatever happens some will end up being winners and some losers. Put yourself in position to be a winner no matter what and do not make excuses!
